Closing day!!!

We finally got a closing day on our house!!! Yeah!! We are so excited to finally be done. What's it been 6 1/2 months? since we started filling out paper work? What made it harder was that we had just moved from IL and trying to get everything from that state that we needed was quite a chore! But that's done now. Then finding out that we had to fix the house a bit before we could get the loan, but that too is coming to a close. Wed we are getting our carpet laid in the bedrooms and then we will put the floor trim in the rooms and be done! We got all new doors in the house and trim. Wow! what a difference that made! things look brighter and bigger. We also got the chimney to the pellet stove put up through the roof instead of out the side of the house. We also got a new light fixture in the bathroom and hallway and a dimmer switch in the bathroom. So anyway, back to closing day...that will be the 28th of this month! Oh, I also got new curtains sewed for Elijah and Alana's room. They love them!

Well, at the beginning of the month Jacob and I got to attend a marrige simminar with another couple from church , Bro. Ted and Sis. Natalie. Tammy was the brave soul that took on all 8 kids, one just having broke his femor. She did real good with them but said she didn't want 8 kids of her own! lol The simminar was real good and a blessing. We were all glad that we got to go to it. Still have some "homework" left, but we'll get it done one day. *smile*

One night some ladies of the church came over and helped me get some sorting of the garage, storage and crawl space done, so that I would be ready for the baby come Jan. That was a huge blessing. Due to all day sickness when we fisrt moved in, it had never gotten done until now.

Oh, Elijah has a new word that he uses when he prays. Ready? It is "nursify" the food. Prayers over food are long enough, might as well shorten the two most important words like nurish and sanctify right? lol That reminds me, yesterday I was painting the closet sliding doors in the bedrooms, Elijah come in and asks, "Mom, is that a new jacket?" I had to stop and think for a moment what in the world he was talking about, then it hit me. So I answered him "Yes, Elijah, it is a new coat of paint." I tell you! English sometimes can sure be confusing!

Elijah was watching grampa cut a hole in the ceiling for the pipe to go through the other day and got all excited and told me he was going to get one of those when he got bigger. He even got to go up on the roof and was on cloud 9.

Elijah is deffinately a boy. As of the 10th of the month he has become officially "tired" of shopping. He use to love to go with me, but now he just wants to stay home and tells me that everytime we go.

Alana loves her pink "pretty" curtains and has to show everyone who comes over. She was pointing them out to me every day there for a while. She is scared of the dark and has to sleep with her door opened a bit and is scared of her brother when he chases her and growls. Which he comes out of his room every morning doing, growling and stalking ... something?

Josiah is climbing on tables now. He can climb into a chair very easily now. yesterday he climb onto the table while I was washing dishes and before I could get to him he had tried to finish his sister's cup of milk. Only a drop or two actually got in his mouth though and the rest got dumped down the front of his shirt. Training to stay off the table has started for him and will continue for the next week or two. He still isn't walking but has taken a couple steps from one thing to another.

Jacob has been staying busy working on the house and writing plus reformating and networking a church families two computers.

Me, I guess just trying to keep up with eveything and everybody and sewing curtains. Also got a pretty light blue lace curtain put up in the bathroom. That just leave me with the living room and our bedroom to fix curtains for. Anyway, that's about it for now!
