I did manage to get Tabitha a little later to go over and pet the horses. While we were petting one, the other one neighed quite loudly, scaring poor Tabitha until she was shaking. After that she was totally DONE with the horses. lol

i loved riding horses as a child! my aunt sunny and uncle billy had horses, cows, chickens, pigs, and turkeys at their small "farm" (since then all the animals have gone away except the cats). i loved going to visit for family holidays and getting to ride the horsies! i still have a picture of me when i was just three or so, around moriah's age, and sitting up on that horse so proud that i was a "big girl" and could ride by myself.
i'm glad my nieces and nephews were able to get these memories. micah and i would like for our kids to be able to get riding lessons when we finally move to the valley. my best friend growing up lived on a cattle ranch and so i'd go and spend nearly every weekend with her riding horses and chasing cows. i even was dragged by a horse once when the saddle twisted and my foot got stuck in the stirrup...
