It was a nice hike. Not too hard but still a hike. I think it took us about 6-7 hrs or so from the time we left the house until we got back. It was a perfect day for a hike too. Not too hot and not too cold. It was beautiful scenery and a great time to catch up on some talking with my hubby! We had been sooo busy since getting back from Alaska, that Jacob and I really needed some time alone. It was great. Thanks again Mom, for watching the kids so I could go. It was wonderful!
Here are some pictures from the hike.
Those white plants, are called bear grass. They have their own beauty. See the trail we we on to the right?

This was fun to see! A Mommy goat with twins! They were so cute.

The peak we climbed up too. We walked across the ridge here to get to it.

Goats were everywhere up there. One can tell that they are use to people walking up there.

This goat was blocking our way when we turned to go back.

Look how close he let me get to him! He seemed to expect me to give him something to eat.

Here I am at the top of the peak.

Jacob at the top of the peak.

Can you believe that their was still some snow up there?

Wow! Beautiful!
That scenery is so heavenly.. It's places like that where I get choked up. God's creation is SO beautiful!
Those are some awesome pictures!!! Glad you got to spend tiem with your husband!!! 6-7 hour hike.... WOW...!!! Cool!
Those pictures are breath taking! And how nice that your mom took care of the kids so you could go along for the hike. But 6 or 7 HOURS??? Oh, my. Did you pay for it the next day?
Just so you all know, we didn't HIKE for 6 or 7 hrs. We were gone from the HOUSE for 6-7 hrs. :) It took about an hr to drive to the MT and an hr back. Plus we stopped and talked to another hiker for about a half hour and probably stopped for another half hr at the top. So a total of 4 hrs hiking about.
I was a little sore the next day, but not really too much. :)
